Tips for Buying a New Construction Home in Lincoln
- Bring your own agent on your first visit. Many builders only work with your agent if you register then. The sales team represents the builder, not you.
- Compare the total monthly cost. Solar (included, leased, or extra), HOA dues, community assessments, Mello-Roos, and lot premiums can change the real cost more than the base price.
- Ask about incentives. Rate buydowns and closing-cost credits often require the builder’s lender and change often, so we verify what’s live that week and compare it with outside financing.
- Get an independent inspection before drywall and before closing.
